Drawing of 100 Year Stone showing progress from outline to final picture

The 100 Year Stone on Derwentwater, sculpted by Peter Randall-Page, is a cleft boulder of Borrowdale volcanic rock commemorating the centenary of the founding of the National Trust in 1895 and its inspiration in the Lake District.

Here’s my drawing of it in pen and ink, showing the progress of a faint outline to the final picture; and a framed version.

I’ve enjoyed drawing this one – the different textures of rock, fell and water.
